This includes identifying factors such as an individual’s name, home address and phone number, cell phone number, age, sex, marital or family status, an identifying number, financial information, employment information, reference information, and previous landlord information.
Wade Shutter / WADE RENT is committed to safeguarding the personal information entrusted to us by our clients and tenants. We manage personal information in accordance with Alberta’s personal information protection act and other applicable laws.
The personal information protection policy provides the guidelines we use in protectors and all of our client’s personal information.

This policy applies to WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter and its subsidiaries/ ventures/ construction. It also applies to any person providing services are this policy outlines the principles and practices WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutte follows in protecting personal information.

WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter has a responsibility to use and disclose client personal information only for the purposes for which the information was collected, except as required by law. Opening and managing an account
Delivering requested services
Assessing suitability for tenancy
Contacting clients or tenants about appointments and providing all necessary correspondence to the tenant

WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter will collect personal information directly from our clients. Collecting personal information from other persons will occur only after receiving client consent, or if required by law. WADE RENT will notify clients/tenants of the purpose for collecting personal information before or at the time of collection, the exception to providing notification is when a client or tenant volunteers information for an obvious purpose. For example:
For filing an application seeking approval for rental.
Consent:
WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter will ask for consent to collect, use. Or disclose client personal information, except in specific circumstances where that collection, use, or disclosure without consent is required by law. We may assume consent in situations where a client volunteers information for an obvious purpose.
WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter assumes client/tenant consent to use, and where applicable, to disclose information for its intended purpose on all personal information collected before July 6, 2006.
Express consent may occasionally be ordered to provide certain services. WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter will ask clients to provide oral consent (in person or by telephone), or in writing (sign consent form, or electronically via email or text SMS).
WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter will rely on “opt-out” consent to involve sensitive personal information. For example, we may disclose contact information to other organizations that may be of interest to our clients, unless clients make a request that their personal information be withheld period
Clients may withdraw consent to the use and disclosure of personal information at any time unless the personal information is necessary for legal obligations. Withdrawn consent limits a client's access to some products and services.
The company may collect, use or disclose client personal information without consent only when required by law. WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter will ensure that client information is accurate and complete. Clients have the responsibility to notify us in writing up changes or errors in personal information.

Access to Personal Information
Clients /Tenants of WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter have a right of access to personal information and records in WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter’s custody. WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter adheres to the Personal Information Protection Act when declining access. Access may be declined if the following conditions are present:
Access to personal information reveals personal information about another individual
Access to personal information reveals confidential business information
Access to personal information that is privileged or contained in mediation records
WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter will provide clients or tenants with a reason for declining access either in a whole or in part. If WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter client access in part, the client will have access to the remaining portions of the record not related to the reasons or declining access.
WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter requires a written request for access to personal information. Client accounts are to address all requests to WADE RENT PROPERTY MANAGEMENT INC., or Wade Shutter, President, and Privacy Policy Officer. Clients are responsible to provide sufficient information in the request so WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter can identify the information the client is seeking.
WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter will provide responses to written requests for WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter’s use of Personal Information and disclosure of personal information to persons outside of WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter for records dated after January 2004. Requests that refer to dates earlier than January 2004 will receive information about any disclosure of information that has occurred.
WADE RENT &/ Wade Shutter will respond to written requests for access within 45 calendar days unless we grant an extension. Clients will be notified of applicable fees at the time of processing the request. Fees do not apply to changes, errors, or omissions in personal information.
